Something You should Know about Hexagonal Weld Nuts
May 05,2022
Hexagonal Weld Nut is a kind of weld nut, which is named because its shape is hexagonal. Hexagonal Weld Nut is deeply loved by the public because of its wide application and excellent fastening performance. Now let's take a look at the Hexagonal Weld Nuts with me!
Hexagonal Weld Nuts
Hexagonal Weld Nuts are used together with bolts and screws to connect fasteners. Hexagonal Weld Nuts are widely used in machines, equipment, or structures with a rough surface and low precision requirements. Customized thick Hexagonal Weld Nuts are used for machines, equipment, or structures with relatively smooth surfaces and high precision requirements. The thickness of hexagonal thick nut is thick, which is mostly used on occasions that often need to be assembled and disassembled. The thickness of the thin Hexagonal Weld Nut is relatively thin, which is mostly used in occasions where the surface space of connected parts is limited. The nut is a mechanical part with an internal thread and is used together with a bolt to transmit motion or power.
What is the difference between step welding nuts?
The step welding nut is a step nut suitable for welding outside the nut. It is generally made of weldable materials and is thicker, which is suitable for welding. Welding is equivalent to turning the two separated parts into a whole, melting the metal at high temperature, mixing it, and then cooling it. An alloy will be added in the middle. The internal is the function of molecular force, and the strength is generally greater than that of the parent.
Welding has high strength, wide application range, and thickness. However, due to high temperature, the connected parts will be deformed and cannot be disassembled, and some active metals cannot be welded by the usual method. The experiment of welding parameters depends on the fusion size of the weld. Adjust the welding parameters according to the fusion size until the defects are eliminated. Of course, the quality of welding is related to pre-welding treatment, such as ash removal, oil stains, etc.
How should Hexagonal Weld Nuts be used?
- The application scope of the nut is generally the thin plate welded at about 6mm, which can avoid large deformation during welding, and at the same time, there can be a more beautiful weld after welding.
- Direct current shall be used during welding, and the negative electrode shall be connected to one end of the welding wire.
- Before welding, the oil stain, rust, and other dirt on the welding part shall be removed to avoid welding pores.
- Argon with a purity of 99.99% should be used as the shielding gas, and the argon flow should reach 8-10 liters per minute when the current is between 50-150A, and 12-15 liters per minute when the current is between 150-250A.
- During the welding process, the ventilation of the working environment should be maintained, and the ventilation should be paid attention to indoors. At the same time, the screen must be used for protection during welding.
- During welding, the angle between the welding part and the centerline of the tungsten electrode should be kept between 80-85 °. The advantage of this is to better protect the welding pool.
